Buffer is one of the most popular social media tools, allowing you to share online content in a staggered schedule across multiple social media channels from a single platform. This is great because it means you don’t need to waste time switching between your social media profiles to post over two, three or four different channels every time you want to share something.
Its scheduling featuring means that you can post in advance, enabling you to have a consistent social media presence throughout the week, without the need to manually log in to your social media channels.
Pricing: Buffer has a free version which allows you to schedule up to ten posts over three social media channels. Prices then range from £15 per month giving access to eight profiles and 100 scheduled posts for one user, to £199 per month, giving you access to up to 50 accounts and 2,000 scheduled posts for up to 11 users.
Similar to Buffer, MeetEdgar (with its adorable blue octopus mascot) offers a user-friendly interface that allows you to schedule posts over multiple social media accounts. The main selling point of MeetEdgar is its intelligent auto-pilot tool, which automatically schedules posts, re-posts evergreen content and even writes posts on its own for you!
Pricing: MeetEdgar has just one plan at £49 per month, giving you the ability to schedule up to 1,000 posts to 25 accounts.
Hootsuite is one of the most popular social media tools, and for good reason. It gives you the ability to access all your social media channels to schedule posts, either automatically or manually with a user-friendly interface. You can either schedule the same post across different channels or customise them for the different platforms. Hootsuite also provides useful analytics to help you understand and track what your followers like and dislike.
Pricing: Hootsuite’s free version allows you to schedule posts to up to three different profiles. Packages then range from £25 per month for up to ten profiles and unlimited scheduling, to £520 per month for 35 profiles and unlimited scheduling for up to ten different users.
IFTTT (short for ‘if this, then that’) is a unique tool which allows your different smart devices and apps to talk to one another. True to its name, it creates short scripts or “recipes”, where one action you take triggers another action. For example, one of the IFTTT recipes will automatically tweet a picture if you post an image to your Instagram page – If this, then that!
Pricing: IFTTT is free to use.
Everypost also allows you to control your social media channels from one place, with the option of posting simultaneously across multiple channels and interfaces for content curation, post customisation, post scheduling and social analytics.
Pricing: Everypost’s free version allows you to schedule on up to three different profiles. Plans then range from £9.99 per month for ten social media profiles with unlimited scheduling, to £99.99 for up to 120 profiles and access for 25 different users for unlimited scheduling.
Oktopost is social media tool for B2B enterprises that gives users a clear view of ROI. Oktopost has a more business focussed model; where other platforms track metrics such as engagement in an attempt to boost brand awareness, Oktopost focusses on pushing social media data to the software to improve lead acquisition and conversion. It also offers unique features of employee advocacy to enable staff to share your content more easily, social listening to make it easier to engage with customers and governance to ensure compliance across large teams.
Pricing: Oktopost doesn’t have a general pricing plan. Instead, packages are tailored to the business needs of the customer, so get in touch with their support team to receive a quote.
