We’re delighted to have been able to help drum up support for Sevenoaks Amherst Rotary Club’s Circuit of Kent Cyclo Sportive charity ride on Sunday 4th September.
Now in its 19th year, the Circuit of Kent raises funds for Hospice in the Weald, Macmillan and other charities supported by Rotary. To date, it has raised more than £500,000.
We were pleased to lend our expertise when the race organisers asked us to help gain publicity for the event, and hope the coverage encourages more committed cyclists and enthusiastic novices to sign up for the event.
With a choice of routes and distances, the Circuit of Kent has something for everyone, including families, novices and serious riders. Participants can choose between 40 km, 80 km and 130 km, all around the quiet lanes of the beautiful Kent Weald, making it an ideal first event or the perfect way for experienced riders to end the season.
The event, which has regular feed stations, clear route marking and marshalling as well as mechanical support, regularly attracts more than 750 cyclists, both as individual entries and in teams. The top performing team will win free entry to next year’s event.
“We particularly encourage company teams: it’s a great way to get to know your colleagues better while raising money for charity,” said race co-ordinator Simon Welham. “But local businesses can also lend their support by sponsoring elements of the race. We have a range of sponsorship opportunities, from as little as £500, so even small local businesses can raise their profiles by getting behind us and our local charities.”
