Supporting Women Work

When communities come together to support one another, it can be immensely powerful.  Which is why we’re endorsing Women Work, a day for women to inspire, support and collaborate with one another.

Women Work was launched last year to ‘create better and brighter futures for women, families, businesses and communities’, with more than 1,000 women attending the inaugural event.  Founder Ania Jeffries explained her motivation: ‘Women Work aims to lead the way to a brighter future for women from all communities; encouraging them to believe in themselves, support each other, dare to dream big and become a positive role model to the next generation of young women.’

The organisers are building on this success by repeating the experience on 20th April, with 50 speakers talking on:

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Women in Business
  • Overcoming challenges
  • Women in the workplace

Taking to the stage

Our director, Siobhan Stirling, will be taking to the Overcoming Challenges stage, talking about 50 Challenges, which she founded to inspire and support those approaching their half century.  ‘My talk is called ‘To 50 and Beyond’ and will explore my personal story, the challenges I overcame during my 40s to emerge stronger, physically and mentally, than ever before.  But it will also look at how the 50 Challenges community is supporting men and women going through this transitional milestone to redefine mid-life positively, creating a new blue print for your 50s and beyond,’ explained Siobhan.
